    We put together a scope, a price, and a timeline. Once you approve it and the agreements are signed, we get to work.

    We typically work in one-week cycles, each ending with a demo and a round of your feedback. We repeat that loop as many times as your project needs.

    Support

    We launch, then stay on at whatever level makes sense: hosting, a monthly retainer, or simply being on call. We settle on which one before you go live.

I'm Josh, the founder and lead developer of Red Lion Network. I have been an entrepreneur and freelance contract developer for over 20 years.

In that time I have worked with hundreds of clients, built many products from idea through production, and rescued dozens of projects that had gone sideways. In 2012 I formed Red Lion Network to be the dependable development partner our clients could count on, treating every project as if it were our own.

Today we are a small team focused on the same goal, and you'll still find me leading most development projects! Whether you have an idea you want to build, a prototype that needs refinement, or a project that needs rescuing, !

Questions we get asked

It varies substantially depending on scope and features, and typically starts at $1,600. We prefer to start with your budget and fit the most important features within it. You get a clear scope, a price, and a timeline before any work starts, and we do not begin until you approve all three.

Most first versions take a few weeks to a few months. We work in one-week cycles, so you see working software long before the whole thing is done.

Yes, this is common now. Whether you started in Lovable, v0, Base44, Bolt, or Replit, we audit what you have, keep the parts that hold up, rebuild the parts that will not, and get it ready for real users.

Yes. We build iPhone and Android apps that work alongside your web app, with the same logins and data, so your customers and team can use whichever fits the moment. If you just want your web app on the home screen, we can also make it a Progressive Web App (PWA), so people can install it on their phone or computer and open it like any other app, without the cost of a separate mobile app.

Yes. We can lead the build, fill a gap on your team, or review the work your developers are already doing.

Whatever you need. Hosting and monitoring, a monthly retainer for changes, occasional on-call help, or a documented handover to your own team. We settle on it before you go live.
